Chatsworth?
Yes. There are now three affiliated Chatsworth schools in
Singapore.
The Chatsworth Group of Schools includes
Chatsworth Orchard,
Chatsworth East
and
Chatsworth Kindergarten in Jalan Kayu.
*Are Kindergarten classes offered at all schools?
Yes. Chatsworth Kindergarten caters for children aged from 3-
6 years.
Chatsworth Orchard caters for children aged from 3-18 years,
and Chatsworth
East caters for children from 3-11 years.
* What are the differences between the Kindergartens?
1. Location: Chatsworth Kindergarten is located
in a rural setting in the Seletar/Jalan Kayu area.
Chatsworth Orchard is located in the heart of Singapore's
shopping district in the Orchard Road area and Chatsworth
East is located in Jalan Tembusu in the Katong area.

Timing:
Chatsworth Kindergarten offers half day 3 and 4 hour sessions
from Monday to Friday.
Chatsworth Orchard offers full day 6.5 hour sessions.
Chatsworth East offers both full and half day sessions.

School Calendar Year: Chatsworth Kindergarten runs
on the local school calendar year from January through to
late November.
Chatsworth Orchard and Chatsworth East run on the European
school year from August through to June.

Enrolment Structure:
Chatsworth Kindergarten has 3 class levels and is open to both
Singaporean and International students.
Pre-K: Children who are aged 3 by the 1st of January
K1: Children who are aged
4 by the 1st of January
K2: Children who are aged 5 by
the 1st of January
The Kindergarten departments of Chatsworth Orchard and
Chatsworth East have 2 class levels and are now open to
Singaporean citizens along with International students.
K1: Children aged 3 by the 1st of
September
K2: Children aged 4 by the 1st of September

Curriculum: There are very few differences between
the curriculum at the Kindergartens. All offer sound,
creative educational programs that foster a joy for learning

* Are all teachers
qualified?
Yes. All teachers at Chatsworth Kindergarten hold either a
Degree or a Diploma in Early Childhood Education. All
Assistant Teachers hold qualifications and all staff hold
experience in teaching within the early childhood sector.

* Are Chinese Language classes offered?
Yes, Chinese Language sessions are a part of our curriculum
at Chatsworth Kindergarten. Currently, the Pre-K children
have 2 x 30minute sessions per week; K1 children have 3 x
30minute sessions per week and K2 children 5 x 40min
sessions per week (ie. daily). Chinese Language classes are
currently outsourced to a company called Lifesparks
Learning. Lifesparks provide a dynamic, qualified and
experienced Early Childhood Chinese Language teacher -
Ms Helen Liu. Children are
actively involved in their Chinese Language sessions and are
able to gain an appreciation and understanding of the basis
of both Chinese language and culture. Chinese Language
sessions focus on the development of the spoken language
through the use of songs, rhymes, stories, puppets,
dramatisations, art, craft and games as well as introducing
children to the written form of Chinese characters and later
in K2, Hanyu Pinyin.
* Will my child be prepared for Primary One in a Singaporean
school if he or she attends Chatsworth Kindergarten?

* Am I able to access my Children Development Account (CDA -
Baby Bonus) to pay for my child's kindergarten fees?
Yes. Chatsworth Kindergarten has recently become registered
as an approved institution allowing Singaporean citizens to
access their CDAs to pay for kindergarten fees. Please refer
to the enrolment
page for further direction on how to go about it.
* How do I go about enroling my child at Chatsworth
Kindergarten?

to arrange an appointment to view Chatsworth Kindergarten
and become familiar with the surroundings. During your
visit, you will be handed an application form. Upon the
acceptance of the application, along with payment of the
registration fee, a place for your child will be reserved.

What are the fees I need to pay upon enrolment?
A
registration fee of $214 is required upon successful
application.
Fees
are payable termly, before the commencement of
each term.

* Are uniforms
compulsory at Chatsworth Kindergarten?
The
children at Chatsworth Kindergarten wear comfortably
designed t-shirts or Polo shirts along with navy shorts or
skorts. Whilst non-compulsory, the uniforms are very
reasonably priced and truly do make the children feel that
they are a part of the Chatsworth community. Please click

Yes.
Chatsworth Kindergarten utilises BT & Tan Transport Service.
